How did roadies come to work on relief projects?
In our line of work we are everywhere. Traditionally we move into a city, build an event, and then move on to the next city without looking back. But our industry now exists within a world of ever-increasing poverty, natural disasters, and general need. So we decided to change this tradition. We already had the essential tools in our kits to make change happen: specialized skills in logistics, transport, engineering, and problem solving in a pinch. BE A BETTER HUMAN PROJECT was born to organize the help we provide, be it moving high volumes of essential supplies such as medicine, hospital equipment, and food to disaster zones internationally; packing and preparing shipments; or, at home in Minnesota, using the money we have saved to support the Intercongregation Communities Association (ICA) Food Shelf.
We believe that the smallest of gestures can still have the greatest of meaning, whether around the planet or in our own backyard. We hope our work will inspire others to do what they can.
